Summary

This study compares the views of unaccompanied minors living in four different types of care facilities in the Netherlands: namely in foster care, small living units, children's living groups and campuses on their wellbeing, living circumstances and place in Dutch society. Interviews with 132 minors were both qualitatively and quantitatively analysed. Based on the transcripts from the interviews the researchers completed a questionnaire (BIC-Q) to judge the quality of the child rearing environment in the different types of care facilities.

Between 1966 and 1980, the War History Office of the National Defense College of Japan (now the Center for Military History of the National Institute for Defense Studies) published the 102-volume Senshi Sōsho (War History Series). These volumes give a detailed account of the operations of the Imperial Japanese Army and the Imperial Japanese Navy during the Second World War.

De rol van cultuur in het omgaan met psychotrauma

Objective. The Psychological Mindedness Assessment Procedure [PMAP; McCallum, M. & Piper, W E. (1990)] operationalizes psychological mindedness as a participant’s understanding of the problem presented by two videotaped enacted patients. To possibly enhance predictive power for psychotherapy outcome, we added two video scenarios with emotionally high-impact. This article describes psychometric properties of the Dutch translation of the PMAP and the extended version, the PMAP-plus.

Design. A therapy-analogue study with non-clinical participants (N = 100).

Vluchtelingen die in de kliniek van Centrum ’45 worden behandeld, waarderen vooral het gevoel van verbondenheid met medecliënten. Interculturele dynamiek speelt een belangrijke rol in de behandeling. Zo herwinnen de cliënten het vertrouwen in de medemens.  

The aim of this study was the examination of Posttraumatic Nightmares (PTNM) and Posttraumatic Anxiety Dreams (PTAD) in Dutch combat veterans and World War II victims. Participants (outpatients; n = 223) were administered a standardized psychiatric interview, the Impact of Event Scale, the SCL-90, the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale, and an interview on posttraumatic nocturnal re-experiencing. Prevalence of PTNM was 56%. Patients with PTNM, even those who were not diagnosed with PTSD, had significantly more psychiatric complaints than patients with no PTNM.

Raden van toezicht moeten mede op basis van de zorgbrede gover-nancecode 2010 toezicht houden op de kwaliteit van zorg die instellingen leveren. Het probleem is dat kwaliteit van zorg voor veel toezichthouders een relatief onbekend terrein is. Recente ernstige crises op het gebied van kwaliteit en veiligheid in de zorg hebben het bewustzijn van de risico's verhoogd.
