Een website voor asielzoekers

Arts en Zorg levert per 1 januari 2018 onder de naam GZA (GezondheidsZorg Asielzoekers) eerstelijnszorg aan alle asielzoekers in Nederland.

Hierbij besteden we extra aandacht aan taal- en cultuurverschillen, de asielprocedure, de leefsituatie en de zorgbehoefte van asielzoekers. Dit doen wij vanuit onze kernwaarden vertrouwen, professioneel en maatschappelijk.

Huisartsenzorg voor asielzoekers

Disproportionate reactions to unexpected stimuli in the environment are a cardinal symptom of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Here, we test whether these heightened responses are associated with disruptions in distinct components of reinforcement learning. Specifically, using functional neuroimaging, a loss-learning task, and a computational model-based approach, we assessed the mechanistic hypothesis that overreactions to stimuli in PTSD arise from anomalous gating of attention during learning (i.e., associability).

3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) is a substituted phenethylamine that became popular as a recreational drug (ecstasy) and therapeutic tool during the late 1970's and early 1980's. Escalating recreational use led to its prohibition, but scientific interest in the drug has persisted due to its unique prosocial effects. Under clinical observation, volunteers report that MDMA increases feelings of closeness towards others, empathy, and sociability. In addition to these acute effects, there is accumulating evidence that MDMA can have powerful and enduring therapeutic benefits.

Thuis in mijn werkkamer staat een grote, oude hutkoffer. Daarin hebben mijn broer en ik de geschiedenis van onze ouders bijeengebracht, zoals die tevoorschijn kwam toen wij na hun overlijden het huis ontruimden. Ze waren allebei twintig toen de oorlog uitbrak. Verliefd en verloofd, maar niet op elkaar, want ze kenden elkaar toen nog niet.

Voor de een ligt de oorlog nog vers in het geheugen, voor de ander is de oorlog inmiddels zeventig jaar geleden. Samer (37) en Joty (90) verlieten het land waar ze zijn geboren en getogen. Op de vlucht voor oorlog en geweld. Op zoek naar veiligheid, vrijheid en hoop op een beter bestaan. Hoe hebben zij de draad in Nederland weer opgepakt? Hoe kijken ze terug op hun oorlogservaringen? Twee gesprekken over twee oorlogen in verschillende tijden, die toch raakvlakken met elkaar blijken te hebben.

Vlucht

In ons veilige Nederland zien we trauma’s als een soort meteorieten die onze beschermde dampkring binnendringen. Trauma’s komen wel voor, maar zijn gelukkig uitzonderlijk. En mocht het noodlot toeslaan dan kunnen we door een goede behandeling meestal weer terugkeren in een vertrouwd en grotendeels veilig bestaan.
