Validation of the CPTSD-DSO scale : A measure for assessing the disturbance in self-organization aspects of complex PTSD

Recent work has continued to deepen our understanding of the manifestation of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). While disturbance of self-organization (DSO) is identified as a key symptom set distinguishing CPTSD from general PTSD diagnostic criteria, specific DSO assessments which include attachment themes would be a helpful tool for clinicians to address DSO in clinical, subclinical, and nonclinical populations.

“After torture, everything changed” : the unpacking of trauma from torture with interpretative phenomenological analysis and Merleau-Ponty’s theory of the lived body

Background

Trauma from torture is expressed primarily through bodily sensations and emotions, reflecting its deep imprint on the body’s memory. Merleau-Ponty’s existential phenomenology, which emphasizes the lived body, provides a valuable framework for discussing the intricate interplay between physical and psychological experiences. Through this approach, we gain a deeper understanding of the profound impact of torture on survivors, which in turn informs holistic recovery strategies.

Objectives

Exploring the potential of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for moral injury : A scoping review

Randomized Trial of a Generative AI Chatbot for Mental Health Treatment

Generative artificial intelligence (Gen-AI) chatbots hold promise for building highly personalized, effective mental health treatments at scale, while also addressing user engagement and retention issues common among digital therapeutics. We present a randomized controlled trial (RCT) testing an expert–fine-tuned Gen-AI–powered chatbot, Therabot, for mental health treatment.
