Een overzicht  van wat we in het zorgpad Beroep en Trauma aanbieden. Het zorgaanbod wordt samengevat. Dit zorgpad is voor veteranen, (ex-) politiepersoneel, maar ook brandweer en ambulance-personeel.

Enduring a serious victimization experience significantly affects the social fabric of individuals and their surroundings. People suffering similar or even the same forms of victimization have vastly different experiences of the event and its aftermath (Ten Boom & Kuijpers, 2012). However, there is a common need for sense-making in the aftermath of such an experience, including a search for explanations of and meaning in the event (Aarten et al., 2020; Crossley 2000; Pemberton et al., 2019b).

Physical and sexual abuse during childhood can have long lasting consequences such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Prolonged Exposure (PE) is an established and effective guideline treatment for PTSD. Nevertheless, a considerable number of patients drop out from treatment or do not (completely) recover from PTSD during PE. It has been suggested that patients with PTSD resulting from childhood abuse are specifically at risk for suboptimal treatment outcomes.

Meisjes met een Turkse, Marokkaanse of Hindoestaanse achtergrond lopen verhoogd risico op shame sexting, ook in zogenaamde expose-groepen van jonge mannen. Hun reputatieschade en de gevolgen daarvan kunnen groot zijn, vanwege het belang dat de gemeenschap hecht aan de seksuele eer van meisjes en vrouwen. Dit maakt hen extra kwetsbaar voor chantage en misbruik. En de gevolgen – kans op verstoting of ander eergerelateerd geweld - kunnen groot zijn.

Op initiatief van de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychiatrie is gestart met de ontwikkeling van de ‘Richtlijn Psychotrauma’. Dit is een vervolg op het onderdeel PTSS uit de richtlijn Angststoornissen uit 2009 en wordt nu een aparte richtlijn. Ook moet deze richtlijn de basis vormen voor de aanpassing van de zorgstandaard psychotrauma- en stressorgerelateerde aandoeningen, die recentelijk tot stand is gekomen.  Naast professionals zijn ook cliënten uitgenodigd deel te nemen aan een knelpuntenanalyse.

Devastating and persisting traumatic memories are a central symptom of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Sleep problems are highly co-occurrent with PTSD and intertwined with its etiology. Notably, sleep hosts memory consolidation processes, supported by sleep spindles (11-16 Hz). Here we assess the hypothesis that intrusive memory symptoms in PTSD may arise from excessive memory consolidation, reflected in exaggerated spindling.

Objective
To determine the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) years after hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) and its association with HG severity.

More recently, the prolonged grief disorder (PGD) has been recognized as a mental health disorder following bereavement, which is distinct from depression and PTSD. However, the number and proposed symptom items vary across the ICD-11 and the DSM-5-TR criteria for PG. The Traumatic Grief Inventory-Self Report Plus (TGI-SR+), which is an updated version of the TGI-SR, is currently the only robust instrument that assesses PG according to the ICD-11 and DSM-5-TR criteria.
