So entstand das persönliche Zeugnis eines Mannes, der als Kind ein überwältigendes Trauma erlitt: Vor über dreißig Jahren entführten drei junge Männer aus San Francisco einen Schulbus in der Nähe von Chowchilla und sperrten die Insassen, darunter den 6-jährigen Larry P., in eine tiefe Grube. Larry Park contacted Vincent J. Felitti in the framework of the Adverse Childhood Experiences study. The result of this encounter is the personal testimony of a man who suffered an overwhelming trauma in his childhood. Over 30 years ago, three young men from San Francisco kidnapped a school bus in nearby Chowchilla and buried its occupants in an underground trench for two days. One of the children was Larry Park, aged six at the time. His account reveals the frightening degree of rage he still carries within him and describes the voices that have gone on terrorizing him to this day. It is rare indeed to find an author able to describe his inner world so graphically and to demonstrate that extreme trauma is a permanently virulent destructive force if it is left untreated. After an introduction by Vincent J. Felitti explaining the background of the events follows the harrowing and profoundly affecting report penned by Larry Park. Subsequently his account is commented on from a clinical viewpoint by Paul J. Fink.
