De dekolonisatieoorlog in Indonesië en de koloniale erfenis staan in de belangstelling.

Terwijl de regering nieuw onderzoek naar de dekolonisatieoorlog aankondigt, is het beeld over de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Nederlands-Indië en de dekolonisatie van Indonesië in de schoolboeken nog steeds gedateerd.

Een gemiste kans.

Deze geschiedenis is namelijk de perfecte casus om multiperspectiviteit en burgerschap te illustreren.

Abstract

Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog gebruikten de nazi's Kamp Amersfoort als concentratiekamp. Gedurende de oorlogsjaren werden in het kamp ongeveer 40.000 mensen voor korte of langere tijd gevangen gehouden. Honderden van hen stierven in het kamp. Ze werden doodgeschoten of stierven door ontberingen.

Er zijn niet veel sporen van het oorspronkelijke kamp over.

Tegenwoordig is bij het voormalige concentratiekamp een herinneringscentrum te vinden.

To examine the lifetime prevalence and risk of psychiatric disorders associated with natural and man-made disaster exposure in Australia.

Methods.

We utilised data from a nationally representative population survey (N = 8841) which were analysed through univariate and multivariate logistic regression in order to examine the full spectrum of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) affective, anxiety and substance use disorders associated with exposure to natural and man-made disaster.
