Does war moderate the association between mental wellbeing and its predictors among children? A multi-country cross-sectional study

Background
This study explores how war or conflict influences the established predictors of mental well-being among children, addressing a significant gap in current research.

Patterns of mental health problems and resilience among immigrant and refugee adolescents : a latent profile analysis

Background: Immigrant and refugee adolescents often face traumatic experiences and are vulnerable to mental health problems, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Yet, they also show remarkable resilience in the face of these stressors. Research is still scarce on how both mental health problems and resilience dynamically interplay in immigrant and refugee adolescents’ development.

Effectiveness of trauma-focused treatments for refugee children : a systematic review and meta-analyses

Background: Prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in refugees is higher compared to the general population, and barriers in accessing mental health care are often experienced. With staggering numbers of people seeking refuge around the world, and 40% being 18 years or younger, effective trauma-focused therapies for refugee children with PTSD are highly needed.

Resilience and its association with mental health among forcibly displaced populations : A systematic review and meta-analyses

Background

Forcibly displaced populations are growing exponentially and are at increased risk of experiencing mental health difficulties. However, it remains unclear if, and how, their resilience and mental health are associated. This systematic review and meta-analyses investigated the relationship between resilience and mental health outcomes among forcibly displaced groups.

Validation of the CPTSD-DSO scale : A measure for assessing the disturbance in self-organization aspects of complex PTSD

Recent work has continued to deepen our understanding of the manifestation of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). While disturbance of self-organization (DSO) is identified as a key symptom set distinguishing CPTSD from general PTSD diagnostic criteria, specific DSO assessments which include attachment themes would be a helpful tool for clinicians to address DSO in clinical, subclinical, and nonclinical populations.
